ROLE
I was the project designer and completed all documentation necessary for a permit from the Town of Dansville. I worked closely with the client to refine the design to match the way that they will use the house.
DESCRIPTION
This project is a two-story new build designed with a barndominium-inspired look and feel. The home includes a large two-story garage sized to accommodate the client's RV and truck, along with a custom 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom residence tailored to the family's daily routines and how they use the home.
A primary design goal was to capture the hilltop views, particularly from the great room and primary bedroom, each of which opens to an exterior patio or deck overlooking the town.
While the home reflects the character of a traditional barndominium, it is designed with conventional wood framing to meet municipal requirements.
