Larchwood Lodge

This project was done mainly as a learning experience. I learn by doing and in this project, I did it all. I was the designer, the construction manager, the constructor, the marketer, and recently the Superhost.

DESCRIPTION

The property was purchased in late summer of 2022, and construction began shortly after. The goal was to create a vacation rental that comfortably accommodates two families with children while being easy for guests to use and simple for us to manage remotely.

To highlight the mountain surroundings, we designed the home with large windows to capture the views and incorporated locally sourced Larch wood on the exterior — which inspired the name Larchwood Lodge.

The house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with thoughtful details and amenities that make it stand out. Smart home features allow voice control for the lighting, thermostat, hot tub, fire table, and doorbell, making it easy for guests to settle in. Additional features like the fire table, hot tub, and an in-house golf simulator add to the experience, providing plenty of ways to relax and enjoy the space.
